Not this time. I am alright with it. Timing can be critical. I saw similar stuff going on with my mother and brother.
I am well travelled and disabled and not sure if I would have gotten the right support anyways.
It makes it clear to my boy, that there are options in life and some of them are positive.
It will be a google touring for a while ... and making the most of what is in town. I feel I can go to events shows movies etc if I am not going o/s.
Some of the family issues are about o/s trips being used to divide and conquer re my daughter.
I travelled for a year when I was 20. @TAB Those experiences are still with me.
My daughters may have not realised they were being bribed, but my son did, maybe because he saw what happened after, they had all their trips. He has had one month away. My middle girl became totally addicted and has had a dozen.
I just look around and try and plan for what is positive and possible. I offered to pay for him too, but he does not want a hand out. His gf wanted him to go overseas with her, but he is looking for a life here.... cant blame him ...

But its not an option for me for what my brother ended up doing.
My son and I have both talked about it a tiny bit. Its all too painful etc, but you get my drift. 18 months ago CAT team said to me son just needed to feel concrete, I tried to put some expectations on him, but within a few months things escalated madly and badly out of control.
I try to get my needs met. Tomorrow I am going to a fundraiser soiree ... where I know a couple people.
On Monday my half chinese nephew ... math degree plus is coming to lunch.
His dad, that bro, died when he was 6 weeks old ...but his Tiger mum very pushy and controlling ...I anyway out of the blue I rec fb request to visit ...
SO ... we have some things in common re family .... ha ...
