Re: Best Friends Club

Very nice memory @avant-garde

The only thing I can do today is lend my youngest son money as he navigates being unemployed. He got a job ---- I hope he keeps it.

He e hasn't been paid yet but Im getting a lot of joy giving him money without the trauma my mother or step father used to give me.          .....

Hi @Pumba23 @Caz5

Re: Best Friends Club

Hi,

I've been lurking in the forums, posting here and there and thought that maybe I'd jump over here and say hi.

I'm 30+10 years old (40, but we won't go there). I am a teacher, and I'm currently studying a Cert in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. I've completed one unit and I struggled in ways that I can't remember ever struggling with my studies. I live by myself - no children, but I have a neice that I look after a couple of times a week and a dog called, Luna who I am very attached to and she is a bit of a velcro dog too.

I'm not very social. While I love spending time with my close friends and family, I tend to have trouble making friends.

I like to read and I listen to podcasts and audio books. I have three books on the go at the moment - A Court of Thorns and Roses (dramatic audio), Beyond Anxiety (Dr Martha Beck) and the Spellshop. I LOVE to write and write a weekly blog post on what I've learnt or on my experiences throughout the week. I love photography, but don't really do it a lot and I love to draw, but also don't really do it alot. I tend to only draw when my students ask me for a picture. I love technology, crystals and fidgets and buying new shoes! I love going to the movies! It's one of my happy places.

Oh...I play lawn bowls. I haven't for a couple of years now, but I'm hoping to get back into

it. I have been a state rep and a region rep and would love to be again. But it will take some time to work away the kinks of a few years away from the sport.
