I just got myself a bargain. I have been looking at getting these two PNC/PMC's for a while, but saw them both for $15 each and couldn't pass that price up. I only buy PNC/PMC's that I had or have an interest in. One day I will buy myself a Bonsai plant and learn how to cut and shape it.

This was my dream car when I was 13.

Re: Coin Collectors' Corner

@Mustang67 I’ve got a question for you… Did you find a coloured Strawberry 🍓 ???

Re: Coin Collectors' Corner

@Mustang67 These look good. I’ve got an early Commonwealth Games 1982 frosted silver 50c piece that has tarnished on one side and not on the other. That side came in contact with a sort of sleeve plastic which I guess was not acid free. It’s make me feel uncomfortable about sleeves since and I use individual capsules…but honestly not sure if they’re any better. Time will tell. I know they sell them as acid free, but question this as the commonwealth coin appeared to be thoughtfully contained in what looked like an appropriate sleeve.

Re: Coin Collectors' Corner

@Harmonium I haven't opened the package yet. I am not organised with my decimal currency, so I just keep it safe in the packages until I am ready to place them in my folders.

Re: Coin Collectors' Corner

@Harmonium it's hard to know what to store them coins in. Everyone seems to have a different answer. At the start I went with the self adhesive cardboard, as I heard that the ones you staple, when you store them one behind the other, the staple can damage the coin behind it, so I thought self adhesive was the way to go. Now I am hearing that after time, the adhesive loses its stick and the coins can fall out and be damaged. So I have decided to change my decimal coin collection to saflips. These can even be heat sealed to stop any air getting in. This is what I read about them.https://www.thepurplepenny.com/articles/how-to-use-saflips/

Re: Coin Collectors' Corner

Hi @Mustang67 . WOW! I’m very impressed with all of the coins you’ve since collected and purchased! Lots of different ones and different topics. I’m a Holden girl myself- I learnt to drive on a 1978 HZ Kingwood manual car in 1997 with column gears as well as an old Mazda 626 floor gear shift. I love Kingswood cars. The Ford coins are really pretty though!

As for my coin collection- no more at the moment!

Just like @Judi9877 ---   my coin collection- no more at the moment!

Re: Coin Collectors' Corner

@Judi9877 I have been a Ford girl ever since my sister decided to go for Holden's. I couldn't be the same. Lol

I have this medallion & Stamp Cover to celebrate 40 years of the XC Falcon Cobra.

The first cars I learnt to drive in were a HQ Kingswood & a Commadore. No idea what model. My boyfriend at the time was a Holden supporter and these were the cars his parents had.

Re: Coin Collectors' Corner

@Shaz51 I really want to start to concentrate on my decimal coin collection. As I want to get the best quality coin I can (without spending too much money) for each denomination for every year one was minted. And put them in the saflips with a description of each coin. But I am struggling with motivation because of my medication at the moment. I am about to see a new psychiatrist to have my medication reviewed.
