Hi

Hi Everyone,

I’ve just joined this forum to try & learn from other people with a lived experience of Mental Illness.

This forum is very ‘New’ territory for me & I am nervous, anxious & hoping that I feel ‘safe’ in these forums.

Thanks for accepting me into this ‘safe’ space 🙋🏼‍♀️

Re: Hi

Hi @Frangipanis

Welcome to the Sane forums. I remember I was very nervous and scared when I first joined. It has worked out to be such a supportive place for me.

I too have a lived experience of mental illness.

Would you like to start with telling us a bit about yourself.

Re: Hi

Hi @Frangipanis

Welcome to the SANE forums and well done on making your first post.

Its totally normal to feel nervous and anxious when making a big step and reaching out to total strangers, but everyone here on the forums are very supportive and friendly, so hopefully it isn't too daunting for you.

Feel free to share as much or as little as you are comfortable in doing so here, its amazing how even the smallest things can connect people and lead to bigger and deeper conversations.

Warm regards

Re: Hi

Hi @Frangipanis, welcome to the forum.  I remember very well how hard it was reaching out for the first time, even in just an online forum.  It took me decades before I did it and it has helped me a lot so I hope it can do the same for you.

Re: Hi

Hi @Frangipanis,

It is such a beautiful community, full of supportive people who understand what it's like to have a lived/living experience of mental health challenges. So, I'm sure you'll be right at home soon enough! 😊

Hope to hear from you soon.
