Re: Welcome!

Thanks so much @AllAboutMissy

I will sit down and do some goal setting and things. Thanks for the pointers. I am planning on starting today using my mini cycle which I bought last week. I went away this week which is why I haven’t started yet. I need to do some time blocking for walking and my mini cycle.

@AllAboutMissy

I just did a little stint on my mini cycle. I am really proud of myself.

How do you become a certified cuddle therapist?

Re: Welcome!

Good evening @AllAboutMissy @Pateam1000 @Sleeper

How is everyone tonight?

I was just rereading this thread and it made me remember that I was supposed to do some goal setting. I haven't done it just yet. I really need to get on that. I have, however done 3 daily sessions on my mini cycle. It's just the pedals of a bike. I started on Saturday.

Whoops I just remembered that I was supposed to start walking with a friend today. I had better message her and tell her we'll do it tomorrow. Anyway, I hope things are well with all of you. Please leave me a message and let me know what is new with you. I will be interested to hear from you.

Re: START HERE: Welcome!

I've been coming back to this every now and again, I write stuff but never end up posting. Maybe this time...

I'm not 100% sure what I am looking for here. This may sound strange but I don't feel 'safe' (from the trolls or just mean/insensitive people) posting on other forums. I don't know why but some veterans and serving members seem to be ok with putting others down online. I feel like we should all be lifting each other up and protecting each other, as we all carry a burden from our service in one way or another. We should all want better for those coming after us than what we had. We should all be united in the fight for an ADF that truly values and supports its people both during and post-service. And in the meantime, maybe we can listen to each other without judgement and wrap our 'virtual' arms around each other to show our support.

I made the call to OpenArms for myself and for my family. It's not easy to admit you need help, but it's so much better than the alternative. If nothing else it has given me hope that life can get better. Make the call.

Welcome @r3fresh

I was just logging off for the night when I saw your message.

Welcome to the Forums, I am so glad that you found your way here. Well done for taking that tough step of making the call to get help. That is difficult but at least it’s the first step. You are heading in the right direction.

Reading between the lines it sounds as if you are struggling right now? Please reach out if you need help. We are here if you want to chat. I can’t promise you an immediate answer because the forums don’t work that way but I am online most days, so you will get an answer eventually. If you need assistance you can also get a moderator by typing the @ symbol and then typing moderator with no space. Select it from the drop down menu. In the mean time here is a How To thread on all the in’s and out’s of posting. Looking forward to chatting more soon
