Re: Hobbies and Projects

Summer was pretty brutal and long in northern Vic.

@utopia I'm really enjoying the cooler weather. Have so much more motivation to get out and get jobs done.

@PeppyPatti anymore artwork?

Re: Hobbies and Projects

Dearest @utopia

This is a DREAM that will come into reality.

After years of being suffocated by my Mum, my step mum has step forward and is going to assist me into purchasing a home.

Probably in the next two years.

Today I'm free.

I feel my two sons see me as their friends, my oldest son is not happy with me but I heard he's in therapy and sorting it out.

I just want to quilt and draw.

Re: Hobbies and Projects

I'm very happy for you @PeppyPatti . Sounds like things are settling into place nicely.

My Mum helped me get my last house. That meant I was finally able to buy this little house in country Victoria. A huge blessing.

I made a Latch Rug Cushion of Santa Claus last Autumn for my nieces daughter. I'm thinking I might order a new kit and do another one this Autumn. I only do a few rows each night. Not too much. But it kept me happy.

Tried knitting a Beanie, twice, but never finished either one.

Re: Hobbies and Projects

Dear @Marzey

Good to hear from you.

I am very blessed.

As long as my family does not know, my step Mother has with love  financially completely changed my life.

I am able to give my youngest son Money while he is unemployed. It's truly fantastic to be able to do this. Just not much per week. But I can do things like get my hair cut, go and see a band play or have milk in the fridge.

I need to go back to Tasmania a few times, there is no hurry.

I don't care about things like ---- buy now while it's cheap. Do this today !!

Today, iv got so much to do. I'm going to clean out the table and finish a quilt.

I usually spend a lot of money on getting it quilted but I might do it myself.

Get the latch hook kit ! Iv been thinking about going big and latchhooking a rug.

....

Re: Hobbies and Projects

Dear @Marzey

Yeah, before I got NDIS ide have about 10 quilts to sew, ide be so confused with all these unfinished projects everywhere.

Iv got lots and lots of fabric. I need to finish all that before I start up something else.

To own a home is such a dream which is out of reach for a lot of people. Ide say by 60 yrs I'll own a home.

I love the thought that no, I will not have Persian rugs on the floor but my own rugs iv made myself.

I love the thought that you have a little cottage.

Re: Hobbies and Projects

Hello @PeppyPatti

I've also made a few quilts. I've made one each for my bestie's two boys, she's hung them on their bedroom walls.

I struggle with all the choices of fabric and different kits. So many to choose from.

Tried making a Jute rug a few years back. It didn't turn out very good haha.

Makes me smile to hear that you are able to live your best life. Sometimes when family can share kindness it goes such a long way to making others happy and feel secure.

You are a really good person, bless you.
